Who do you think is the main character in The Walking Dead?

I onceread a guys comment on facebook and he said that theyll never kill carl off bc hes the main character in the walking dead not rick or daryl. Bc its the story of how he he lived in a Zombie Apocalypse since he was little and he has to change his life and everything.
So i think its Carl😍

It's Rick. The show starts with him and except for a few POV episodes, revolves around him. If he were to split off, the show would follow him.



It's not Carl (Corrrraaaallll). Carl is a minor supporting character. It is not his story of growing up in the Zombie Apocalypse. He rarely has POV stories and there are tons of episodes where he's just background. Sure, the pudding episode was his, but many of the characters have has similar storylines and focus.



One could argue it's the entire group, based on the split stories that happen when they split up. But, it's all people who have been in contact with Rick and end up back with Rick. He's the cohesion and the protagonist, by far. The three strongest supporting characters after him are Carol, Glenn, and Daryl.

I'm pretty sure if they had to, they could kill-off anybody, I think that headed into Season 6 they do need to be careful with who they kill-off though, because viewers get 'war-fatigue' too, so you need to be careful with these type of shows as they go the distance(the first 3 seasons are Free-For-All, then you need to start creating consistency).

I strongly agree with the majority here I am pretty sure it is Rick, if Rick died the show would cease to thrive as it has been he is the protector, the fighter, the one willing to do anything the separate stories of those around him are just tid bits but it is all about Rick our favorite sheriff

I agree. In my imagination, I see a series ending w/ Carl as a older man telling his story to a new generation, or even the actor playing Carl's grandson, telling the story.

Obviously Rick. They started with Rick, they've dabbled all into this life, his character, his son, wife, best friend. He will never die.
