Is game of thrones ok to watch for teens?

I'm 13 years old, and I really want to watch game of Thrones because I've seen the ad for the second season and it looks great, because I love medieval fantasy! But a lot of people have said there's way too much nudity and sex, so I was wondering if it was really so bad as that I couldn't watch it? Do you think they might make a kids-friendly version, like Torchwood and Doctor Who? I am quite mature but I wouldn't want to purposely subject myself to watching sex scenes and stuff.

It is definitely way too adult for your age group. In Australia the DVD has an R rating (18 years +). I think this is equivalent to an X rating in America. Just about every episode of the series has very confronting sex and full frontal nudity scenes. But your biggest problem will be the intense and very graphic depiction of extreme blood, gore and violence. I would very strongly recommend that you not watch this series until you are at least 18. You could well find yourself being traumatised by many of the scenes in Game of Thrones. Don't subject yourself to this kind of material until you are well and truly ready for it. Many adults will also find this show quite confronting and disturbing in places. So be warned, it is definitely not for younger audiences.

If you're able to post on here, you're able to look at all types of inappropriate content for your age. You should consult your parents, and if they say it's alright then it is. The show is awesome, but there are some nudity scenes, just some frontal nudity of women though. If you feel uncomfortable about looking, just don't look during those times.

Omg I watched one episode and I mean you can watch it but there is a crap load of nudity. I don't know about you but I have no intrest looking at butts and women's breasts and the language is filthy.

I don't think you should since there's a little sex in it, so i advice you not to watch it.
