Original. It has by far the most charm. I grew up watching reruns of that. I can still remember parts of the dialogue. Who can forget the stellar line - "He's dead, Jim?"

I always had a thing for T'Pol of Enterprise. I guess that was my favorite. 7 of 9 (Jeri Ryan) was great also. She is now on the new series 'Picard', I believe.

original series

I tired of the political correct movement of the newer shows, Hated Q and the far point encounter.. set a bad Precedence

Enterprise was pretty good

you also need to realize the newer shows were not innovative but copy cat

comparing 1966 to 1987 shows is not even sensible

I will say all the times they needed new parts Dilithium Crystals I laugh thinking,, if you are going out to the depths of space,, take a few extras

The Next Generation.  It had some excellent writing and IMO, Picard was a far better commander than Kirk. And Q as comic relief was a hoot.

Oh man, that's like somebody asking you to pick your favorite pet! I love them all, but for different reasons. The Original has a special place in my heart, but TNG had more complex plots, better sets & visuals. I also thought Voyager was a stand-out and years later, came to admire Enterprise for its originality. The only one I could never really warm up to was Deep Space 9. Have never seen 7, 8 or 9.

TNG will always be my favorite.

However, I did end up watching Discovery and Picard a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised. While I prefer shows that are series (in which each episode is it's own story and can stand alone) rather than serials (in which each episode is segment of a longer story arc and have to be watched in chronological order), I though Discovery and Picard were quite entertaining. I was also impressed with the costumes, set designs, and visual effects; visually these shows are movie quality.

///SPOILER/// I also like the fact that Discovery makes references to the original series, namely Captain Pike, The Talosians, and Harry Mudd. Similarly the actor that played Hugh in TNG reprises his role as an older version Hugh in Picard.

Original.  The effects and acting don't age well, but TOS was bold, creative, and groundbreaking in ways that none of the series that followed it were.  TNG really just endorsed popular viewpoints in their attempts to be socially relevant.  TOS took real chances doing things that became accepted later, but were very much not when it was aired.  TNG was just a repetition of the theme.  It was a good repetition, which the series that followed it weren't, but TOS's originality set it apart.

( I don't like the new ST Discovery series because it doesn't apply to Roddenberry's vision of the future.)

TNG overall.

I might be alone in liking Voyager.

I like Enterprise as well in general.

I haven't seen Discovery, Lower Decks, or Picard.

For many years TOS was my favorite, but over time I started to like TNG better. There were some incredible episodes. "The Inner Light" episode was better than some of the movies. DSP first couple of seasons were good, then the later seasons started getting too much into Bajorian mysticism, etc. Enterprise would have been okay but then they kept hooking up T'pol with Trip which I hated. She should have been with Archer ! I want to see Picard series, but don't want to subscribe to CBS All Access.

Enterprise takes my first place, closely followed by DS9.  The multi-episode story arcs are far and away more engaging than the crisis-of-the-week patterns of TOS and TNG, and VOY's start-a-mess-and-fly-away behavior is nothing short of grating.

The recurring Borg threat of TNG are always an interesting watch, to see how this persistent threat affects people and politics throughout the system, and that they are like cockroaches and bedbugs, consistently adapting to every threat.  That was a very new, very welcome enhancement to an old trope. In my first two choices, characters have to LIVE with the repercussions of what they do, whereas Voyager just up and buggers off at Warp 9.9, almost every time.

I have to disagree with Mr. Monster who said his favorite series was "Enterprise" (maybe he was trying to be a provocateur). Of the six series I've seen, "Enterprise had a lot of promise but failed.

Never did like Shatner-still don't to this day. Spock and McCoy is what saved that series for 4 years.

TNG had better scripts, better actors, better writers.

The original...it was easily the best.

Deep Space 9. It was the 'red-haired step child', so the micro-managers like Roddenberry and Berman paid less attention to it. And the writers were allowed to create some brilliant story arcs. No other series came anywhere close to the depths of personalities and cultures as DS9. Until late in Voyager's run, all of the other shows had to tie everything up in a neat little package after 42 minutes, which made them seem shallow by comparison.

I have a soft spot for the original.  I know the acting was sometimes equal to a mediocre high school drama performance but the show really did  "go were no man had gone before" in terms of trying to create a glimpse into a future in the stars at the same time in history when man was trying to reach the moon.  At times, the themes of the show would also challenge current events and go against what was socially acceptable for the time frame it was written and aired.

The original is also the basis for many elements in the other series.  Like it or hate it, without the original, the entire series would be different than what we know it as right now.  No matter which series is your favorite,  you can thank the creators of the original for creating the baseline for the Star Trek universe.

So - my favorite is still the original.  (I believe I cried a little inside when Leonard Nemoy died)

4. Next Generation best, after that the original series.  I found Kirk annoying in the original series, and if it wasn't for Spock, Scotty and the Doc may gave given it a big pass.  Likewise with Janeway; she just didn't appeal as a character, but the others were interesting.  Yet to see the Picard series; on my bucket list!  I think I will like that series.

Deep space nine is my favorite

My favorite Trek isn't canon - Star Trek Continues. You could tell they all put their hearts and souls into every episode. It's a shame they didn't get past 11 episodes.

I  still watch old episodes of TNG, occasionally. I thought the "franchise" had run its course after TNG. The others I don't watch. I did take a peek at Lower Decks and Picard, but they didn't impress me much.

I don't see how any true fan of Star Trek could pick anything other than the Original series of course........not that others weren't good.....but none would even exist without the original.

Having said that........I was less impressed with Deep Space 9

but actually LIKED  Voyager.

Of course,  Next Generation  had the best run, I think..... but I actually liked Voyager, and wish that had lasted longer.

The premise was actually sort of rehashed in  Stargate Universe.....

So far I’ve only watched original series, most of TNG and half a season of DS9. And I think that would be my order of quality as well. But as I continue in the franchise my order may change.

Even though the original series lacked the sophisticated technology, it is probably the best.  TNG was also excellent.  The animated series was excellent for a cartoon.  DSN and Voyager were good.  Enterprise and Picard were UNWATCHABLE CRAP!  Lower Decks looks good.. but I haven't seen it. I don't know anything about Discovery.    The "Young Kirk" portrayed by Chris Pine in the movies is good too.  The biggest disappointment by far was PICARD!  BLEAH!

Obviously TOS. TNG has lots of good episodes. I haven't seen STLD but it sounds good, better than STTAS which I thought was OK. Haven't seen STP either. DS9 was OK but underwhelming and boring. Like STENT. Dislike STVOY.

STDISC is one of the worst shows. I think it's worse even than that disastrous LIS reboot. It's boring, inconsistent and charmless.

TOS cause it was original and although probably corny by today's taste it was good.  TNG seemed better in re-runs.  DS9 was good and really liked Quark and Garak.  They made it more than just plain Trek.  Voyager - so - so.  Enterprise - wanted to like it and did watch it when it came out but couldn't quite seem to get into it.  So there!   LOL

There's a TV station that shows the first five shows in a row on weeknights.  My favorite will always be the one with Kirk and Spock.  I used to hate The Next Generation, but I watch it sometimes, and it's pretty good.  They certainly take more care with the plots, and they have the advantage of far better special effects.  Deep Space Nine I do not like at all.  I watched Voyager sometimes and I liked that too, even though I don't think Janeway is a good captain, I almost always disagree with her decisions.  But I love Seven of Nine.

I literally grew up with the original series.   Even my sci-fi hating father loved

(and giggled!) through the first broadcast of "The Trouble with Tribbles".

However, as an adult, I prefer "The Next Generation".

None of the above.

Simply  "Star Trek" for me . There is NO :"original series". They had No idea Star Trek would blossom. Only lasted 3 seasons. Shatner was living in a trailer when he saw the moon landing.

I kinda like the plots  of the Animated series,  but animation sucked.

TNG has a few good episodes. Q gets redundant, boring.

And this is from a real Trekkie who saw the show when it was New...
