I've never seen The Labyrinth, or L Word, but from what i understand, it's a TV show. I have the seen the scene on youtube where the lesbians dana and alice get it on and nudity is shown. I'm wondering how this can be if it's a tv show?? TV doesn't allow nudity...

The L word comes on Showtime. Channels like HBO and Showtime are allowed to show nudity and curse because the viewer pays for it and not advertisers therefore they have no commercials. Cable channels also have less strict censorship than network but they tend to censor anyway. Comedy Central's Secret Stash is uncensored and sometimes shows nudity.

I'm not sure where you're from... but sex and nudity are always being shown on t.v in North America.

For example, there is a t.v show called Queer As Folk where in one scene they actually showed one man taking a younger man's anal virginity. Completely naked, spread eagle, the only thing you couldn't see what their genitals.

Women's completely naked bodies are allowed to be shown here, the only thing you won't see on a t.v. show (normally) is a penis. Somehow woman are okay to be seen naked on t.v. but men aren't. SOMETIMES they will show men completely nude, but not usually.

Sex seems to sell here for terrible reasons that are beyond me, and you can't even flip through commercials without being offended half of the time by what you see. It's crazy.

Some, but not a whole lot...but the content is fairly explicit. I'd watch a few episodes when she's not at home and judge for yourself before you allow your daughter to watch. Also, you might want to watch it with her so you can explain anything she might not understand. (it's called responsible parenting...you're on the right track!)

I think it's got to be shown at a particular time (like after 11pm or something) then it's alright.

At least that's what happens in the UK. I think if you have a problem with things like that then don't watch them :P

To the guy who answered after me: No, that's called porn.
