I liked the first few seasons especially the "Monster of the week" Episodes. But when it was revealed in the later seasons that Mulder was Cigarette Smoking Man's son( and on top of that his favourite child), I lost interest in the show since it became obvious that he was'nt going to kill mulder or scully. So in the last few seasons many people lost interest in the show. What are your comments about X-files. Please give your answers in details. Thankyou

I have loved every eerie minute of the X-Files. However, I, like most people I'm sure, was very fed-up when Mulder was abducted in season eight and didn't return for a number of episodes. In my opinion, that's where viewers lost interest. I watched on because I still I loved it, but I think we can all agree that the show was never the same.

Agent Dogett and the other girl totally disrupted the Mulder/Scully dynamic and took focus away from what the fans ate-up for seven years prior! (I didn't actually watch the show when it aired; I watched it on Netflix). Don't get me wrong, I think it would have been fine if Mulder had been abducted and then rescued a couple episodes after (like Scully was)... but he wasn't.

I think what bothered me the most was that we had to learn that Scully asked Mulder to be the father of her child through FLASHBACKS. That to me was a rip-off. It's like when Booth and Bones finally got together, and all we saw was them breifly hugging. Then, we find out she's pregnant---WHAT? ha ha.

Conclusion: Mulder's abduction killed the show.

First, the coach under no circumstances qualified as technological information fiction. It had elements of both horror and myth, yet a finished lack of surely technological information fiction. second, I had drifted away earlier you discovered out that cigarette smoking guy became Mulder's father, because it became obvious that at the same time as the reality is for sale, the coach became under no circumstances going to bare *any* of it. To on the present time, the only episode that I have a good time with any extra is "Jose Chung's From Outer area".

You lost interest when it became clear to you that they weren't going to kill off either of the two main characters?

Really??

Let me ask you, are you under the impression that Walter will be killed off on the show "Fringe"?

Did you think that the writers would kill off Captain Picard and blow up the Enterprise?

Were you worried that Joss Wheden would kill off the title character in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"?

OK that last one was a bad example, But you can't seriously watch any television show and really think that the lead characters are likely to die off.
