dawson's creek - why do we love it so much?

Question

i am 23 and in love with dawson's creek... i caught some episodes during my teenage years (it came out when i was around 14/15) but didn't really watch much of it when i was younger as i wasn't allowed to watch much tv... i wish i was there living in that time and having the creek kids as friends... am i crazy? why do i love this show? does anyone else feel the same? i never went through any of wht the kids went through as my life was completely different yet i still feel like that was a part of my life?!

I love Dawson's Creek!! In fact I have been having a Dawson's Creek marathon the past few days! I especially love the whole time of when Pacey is starting to like Joey more than just as a friend, and then they finally start dating. I Hate the fact the Pacey seems completely over Joey (at least in the beginning episodes), in Season 5, when she clearly is not over him. In fact I just posted a question about Dawson's Creek myself. I have not been able to find the answer myself, and have not received an answer yet. If it anyone would look at it, and help me out I would really appreciate it! Thanks In Advance!!

I know what you mean. I mean I'm only 19 now but I do remember it well growing up. I can't really relate to a lot of the kids on the show. Possibly because they're all played by adults as teenagers! But I do still love the show. I think to me it represents my youth and growing up. I think it was quite a modest show in the sense that it never seem to boast or pretend to be something it wasn't. In recent years we've had so many more teen dramas like this such as The OC and One Tree Hill, but in my opinion they've been really overhyped and not close at all.

I think watching Dawson's Creek does give me a sense of nostalgia and brings back fond memories. But maybe that's just me.

I recently watched the last season again. Love it! Especially since the last season was more about Joey and Pacey than Dawson (who was a character I never liked that much).



I wish Katie Holmes was back on our screens playing a Joey Potter like character again. At least Pacey is back.



Dawson had awesome music in it. The Volume 1 soundtrack is one of my favourite albums.



Problem with the teen shows nowadays is they're all about rich kids (OC, Gossip Girl, 90210), most kids can't identify with that, Dawson gave us characters who were more like normal people.



Although, I did have a problem with the last episode. It was supposed to be 5 years in the future, which would make them about 25, but they all seemed to be a lot further into their careers and more successful than the average 25 year old would be.

I love it too !!! and why? because of Jack I loved him, the amount of times he made me cry was unbelievable.

I think it was just a really good show because it was funny and it seemed real.

I totally related to them even though my life is really different
