Star Trek and StarGate back please, DS9 and Atlantas and Enterprise please disappear.?

Question

OK Treckers, I know that DS9 and Enterprise were awful, they were in fact an insult to our inteligence, and now the Stargate Atlantis is trying to do the same thing. What a wash out, not worth staying up to watch

The Original Stargate was fantistic, but in Australia they messed around with it and were spasmotic about running it and therefore missed many episodes, but why can't this one come back and start showing from the 3rd season, and forget about Atlantis

Boy Atlantis is pure rubbish the characters are not even interesting or believable --- just garbage

Bring back the original Stargate Please. It will do till we get another decent Star Trek

Ok. Enterprise was aweful. Atlantis isn't as good as the original Stargate. I'm with you so far. But...DS9 was the best Star Trek series! Best writing...best character development...best characters. To each his/her own I guess. :-)

I really loved SG one, too, and am not so thrilled with Atlantis. Enterprise was so bad I quit watching it. I disagree with you about DS9, I didn't like it at first because it was a little darker, but the characters grew on me. Everyone liked the camaraderie, loyalty, exploration of new worlds, and humor of the original shows, but the new shows seem to be going too much into the dark side and horror movie type stuff. They need to lighten up a little and go back to being fun and interesting to watch.

I have to agree with you, I definately want the original STARGATE back! Atlantis just isnt as entertaining as the first one. I know they are working on another Star Trek movie but It won't be out till like 09 or 2010.

I'll buck the trend and recommend Voyager over DS9. I never really got into DS9, though honestly I only ever watched a handful of episodes. Voyager has the most Borg episodes of any ST series, which first got me into it. But there is quite a mix of good episodes and dull episodes. I found a review site online which showed me all of the Borg episodes, and then after watching those, I went on to watch the ones that were rated highest. Yeah I watched the show out of sequence, but I kind of liked it that way. The later seasons, when 7 of 9 joins the cast, and the doctor's character gets more developed, are quite good.

Good news, they made two Stargate SG-1 movies: Stargate Ark of Truth and Stargate Continuum. Stargate Ark of Truth is already out of DVD and you can probably buy it off the computer and Stargate Continuum is coming out on DVD in July.





P.S. Trust me, on Atlantis, it gets worse...have you seen season 4?

I love the original show and I liked Atlantis in the first couple of seasons but it's awful now! They killed off almost all the good characters and the storylines are so bad most of the time that you can barely stand to watch them. Oy.



And season four is way, way worse than the other seasons.



But the good news is that there are two Stargate SG-1 movies. Stargate Ark of Truth is the first and it's out already, it was pretty good. Stargate Continuum is the second movie and it looks great!! It's coming out in July, O'Neill will be in it, and it looks absolutely fantastic!

I dont know anything about Stargate but i look forward to the day they do another Star Trek.



Next Generation was the best series IMO. I have a 48inch framed portrait of Picard and Riker in my house. I just love those two.

I agree with you about Enterprise, and DS9 wasn't the greatest, but SGA is really good! I agree that SG1 was better, but I think that Atlantis can stand on it's own.
