yesterday i watched the last ever episode of dawson's creek does anybody else think that it was such a lame ending i mean joey picked pacey over dawson who is meant to be the star of the show! and the only reason she picked pacey was because dawson was like "yeh im kinda fed up now so i dont really care anymore" and she was like nooooo dawsons not fighting over me anymore so i'll have to pick pacey! and dawson got left on his own and he was the whole point of the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know dawson was boring but he was by far the best looking in the 6th series. oh and why is the whole 6th series about joey anyways??

I have to say I disagree with you there. I liked the fact that Joey and Pacey got together - it was a bit more unexpected. It would have been so predictable for her and Dawson to get together.

To be fair the WHOLE series wasn't about Joey though. Look at all the other issues they tackled - Jen's drinking and her illness (wasn't that sad when she died), Andie's illness, Jack coming out.

I think as the series went on there was a bit more focus on the other characters, but you know at the end of the day even though the series was called Dawson's Creek it would have been a bit boring if it was just about Dawson!

By the way I'm not sure if you're from the UK or US. If you're based in the UK you can catch repeats of the show on Channel 5 and on Sky you can watch it on Five Life.

I think it's the case of Ivanhoe and The Count of Monte Cristo all over again. In romantic literature like these, the heroines become too soiled and therefore, unfit for the untarnished hero (Hence, Rowena doesn't end up with Ivanhoe, Mercedes doesn't end up with Edmond Dantes, and Joey doesn't end up with Dawson.).

That is why I think the whole season seemed to be centered around Joey's travails, to build up the ending that she doesn't deserve Dawson in the end.

And with Dawson not ending up with her, it only makes his ability to write from the heart about their story for the "real" to "reel" The Creek show even more believable.

Don't worry...nothing is wrong with Dawson. It's Joey.

Jeea, it all seems so different now that Katie Holmes is in that sham marriage with Crazy Cruise. How about a vote for Dawson and Pacey?

Yeah she chose Pacey, but at the end she left him and married Tom Cruise! lol! Good thing she chose Pacey, Dawson would have suffered a lot!

I agree...it was a disappointment that Joey picked Pacey. I just never got the attraction there.
