Lost: Who thinks Jack's father is alive?

Question

Season 4 premiere of Lost is coming up soon!

And in the last episode of Season 3, in the flash-forward, Jack said, "You go upstairs and get my father, and if he's drunker than I am, then you can fire me!" (was it just the liquor talking?)

And, in Season 1, we saw his father walking around on the island. (was it a hallucination?)

And, in Season 1, his father's coffin was empty. (was the body not allowed on the plane?)

Season 4 should be interesting.

I don't care if no one else agrees with me, but I have always maintained that not only is Jack's father alive, but he's part of the whole Island conspiracy. It's a fact that we don't know how those people all wound up there (yeah, the crash, but how'd they all wind up on that particular plane?), there's a weird connection between them all (Claire's Jack's sister?, Hurley's numbers on the hatch, Eko's brother's plane on the Island, yada yada yada), and regardless of all the conspiracy theories, all the "they're dead and waiting to go to Hell" theories, I still think it was all an psychological/sociological experiment, I still believe that Jack's father is part of the original group. Otherwise, why is Jack there? Why is Claire there? Didn't Jack's father meet Sawyer? What's that about if he isn't alive? Oh yeah - he's alive, well and manipulating the heck out of his son and everyone else.

No I think he's dead.

His coffin being empty I can't explain, but the walking around was a hallucination and Jack talking about him in the flashforward was just a sign that Jack was drunk and mentally unstable (and also to continue fooling the viewer into thinking it was a flashback).

i am not really sure i watching it any because the last scenes of the finalle last yr because i like sawyer and kate together also i want them to stay lost....also i thought jack dad died in a car accident

I totally believe he is alive and knows or is part of the whole sordid mess on that "island."
